For me, the AimState story starts way back in 2010 when I began exploring concepts for an app focused on future modelling and democracy. (a kind of facebook for best practice - greentape)
Work commitments, though, meant that for the next 3 years it wasn’t anything more than just an idea sitting in the back of my head, until 2016 when a number of different studies dealing with motivational psychology grabbed my attention and got me actively thinking about the concept again in a new light.
Yes, in terms of turning this thinking into usable technology, this project is still at the starting blocks, but having a website explaining some of the theories around the idea, and examining how it might work on the ground, is an important step.
From here, I imagine the following action plan:
1.
Lots of throwing the idea around, getting feedback on what others think of it ~

Is it thought provoking? Does it have potential? How much sense does it actually make? Do any completely new ideas come out of this thinking?
2.

Getting some funding together to make a prototype / demonstration model ~

Crowd funding will likely be part of this mix;
And, because of what the project is trying to achieve, I am imagining government / philanthropic funding streams wouldn’t be out of the question.

3.

From that point, would be the creation of the prototype / demonstration model, in order to then facilitate more fundraising, to finally...
4.
...create a working platform for public release.

Yes, I do realise that getting the project to completion will involve a serious amount of work.
But I believe the rational behind the idea will justify the effort, and I am very interested in discovering where it all might lead.
